Romans NineAm I Jacob or Esau, for mercy or wrath? Which would I choose if I chose my own path?Romans Nine
I want to ask questions and shake my fist! How can mercy and wrath within you coexist?
I am full of confusion and utter fear. What is Esau is someone I hold most dear?
From my God of love I want mercy for all. Don't create the tree, and you will prevent the fall.
Yet, when I witness wrath it makes mercy more sweet. They must coexist to make you complete.
If Pharaoh's heart were not hard there would be

Romans EightThe Law cannot lead me to Heaven, because I cannot obey. The Lord in His wisdom understood this, so He made another way.Romans Eight
The Lord sent His Son as an offering to receive my condemnation. The Lord sent His Spirit to live in me to achieve my purification.
The Spirit within me refines me, ridding me of imperfection. I am gold that will remain in the fire until the Lord can see His reflection.

Romans SevenWhen I try to do good and I try to do right, my desires and instinctsRomans Seven
put up a strong fight.
The problem's my nature, and I should have known. I cannot be righteous all on my own.

Romans SixI've seen your hopeless struggle. Aren't you tired yet? You work and fight and bleed for years you will regret. What will you work for today? Your sex? Your lies? Your meth?Romans Six
You enslave yourself to evil. All you earn is death.
I've seen your hopeless struggle. It's one I recognize. I used to be a slave to sin. I can empathize. Now I have life through God's good grace. Please... please say you'll join me. Let God unlock those rusted chains. Find out what it means to be free!

IndifferenceAnd what should be said of the heart? When the weighted wheels of poets address, Grind to rust I would still express, Some sadness on my part; A nothingness that bleaching now, Has brought the blooms that once sprung forth, To bend their stems before blank wrath And find their colours cowed. Love and hate need not be foes, The two may rage together, Indifference is... what fells the rows, Of those who said forever.Indifference

"I Have Lived"I have lived, praising other peoples games. I have been surrounded, with people proud of their name. I've lived beaten down, and cowered away. I'm going to live for myself today."I Have Lived"
I have lived, trying to avoid the mistakes. It's easy to come by, but harder to waste. I have lived my life, forgetting the words I say. I'm going to live for myself today.
I have lived, avoiding selfish ways, afraid of the things, that they burned into my brain. But this life is for me, and no body else. I'm going to live for myself.
there's plenty more,
have a read (:

I also know that Christianity is a lifestyle. Holiness is a process, not a destination.
I've just begun to realize that I should let my writing be used for God's glory, and now that I've finally surrendered myself to be used by Him, my writing is vastly improving. I take no credit.
I've been on this long, so very long, road now for years and it still amazes me just how much more real God gets with each step I take and each time I choose to keep following Him. Its so crazy when I had finally given myself up to the Lord how much better life became even when I'm still poor and don't have a good job or are struggling with the day to day things that could pull me down. I finally saw just how precious humans are to Him and how much He wants us to surrender to Him even in the mists of how much in this world (and of Him) we really just don't understand. It's living a life of love and choosing to be compassionate and loving even when I don't want to be. Thank you so much for helping spread His love, for loving him and choosing to believe. You are a rare jewel.
But just like God can use things of this world to glorify Him so can the Devil use this world to turn you from Him. So, just from personal experience, don't let that happen and don't let what muck on dA there is (because it can get kinda crazy in here) and of this world keep you from shining. God bless.

I know what you mean about life getting better, even though things are rough. When the Holy Spirit wraps his arms around you... it's like nothing bad can touch you, nothing can bring you down. ^.^ And sometimes it's when you realize that the Holy Spirit has had his arms wrapped around you this whole time that life gets better.
DA really does have a lot of muck. I'm glad I have you to keep me encouraged!
Anyway, Thanks! I can write better than I can say it. I actually am not much of a talker but I can write it out! I've had my share of ups and downs. I love sharing my wisdom & faith with others. It's true that wisdom comes with age.
I think it's time to really get down to the bottom of living for Jesus and what it truly means to 'take up your cross'. It means persecution b/c God did not say he will not take it away (he says pray for strength & perseverance), it means getting hurt (sometimes by friends and choosing to forgive or accept forgiveness), means doing what's right & not what's convenient.
Yep! It's how we choose to deal with the good and bad of life. Sometimes I get caught up in the bad that I don't always see the good that could come out of the bad & how God can work through it. You're right, the Holy Spirit is a comforter & a friend. When we encounter the Holy Spirit there's no way we can come away unchanged. I have to admit I'm not the best at helping others understand. I don't claim to understand much. Only one person does and it ain't me!
We all need a boost. Sometimes I get a boost is by encouraging others. Funny how it works that way. I'll stop there before this becomes a novel.

Every man has his secret sorrows which the world knows not; and often times we call a man cold when he is only sad.
